The IUISC Poster Session will be held at ____am on ______ 12th March (TBC) . The aim of the Poster Session is to provide a more informal opportunity for presenters to informally discuss their presentations with individuals and small groups of delegates. The poster is a visual presentation of information on projects, new initiatives and ongoing work identified in your submitted abstract.

The poster can be a visual presentation in the form of diagrams, charts, images, text etc., but poster presenters should be prepared to provide a brief verbal explanation of their presentation.

The following guidelines may be helpful when you are preparing your poster presentation:

• A poster board will be provided for you as will push pins etc to mount your display.

• In order to fit the allotted boards, all posters should conform to portrait orientation.

• Poster Board dimensions = 1 m wide x 2.25 m high. It is recommended that a poster size of up to A0 portrait orientation (0.84 x 1.19 m) be used.

• Full use of colour, bold and larger typefaces is encouraged and all sections of the poster should be clearly legible from a distance of 2 meters.

• The use of illustrative material, photographs etc is recommended.

• The design should be thought out so as to give quick impact and attract immediate interest.

• All posters should be accompanied by a presenter during the session. The presenter should be able to answer questions and provide further information.

• Explanatory handouts can be useful to fill in more detail.

• On arrival at the Conference please ask at the Registration Desk for information on setting up your poster board.
