Lynne
Brindley
Lynne Brindley is the Chief
Executive of the British Library, a post she took up on 1st July
2000. She was previously Pro-Vice-Chancellor for
Communications and IT and University Librarian at the University
of Leeds, and before that Librarian & Director of Information
Services at
the London School of Economics. She has held previous positions
as a Principal Consultant at KPMG, at Aston University, and a
variety of
posts at the British Library. She was a member of the Follett
Review Committee and chaired the Electronic Libraries Programme
(eLib). More recently she has been a member of the Library &
Information Commission, the ESRC's Research Resources Board. She
holds visiting professorships at the University of Leeds and the
Metropolitan University of Leeds.
