Sean Phillips

Sean Phillips has been Librarian at University College Dublin since 1978.
He was previously Deputy Librarian at Trinity College Dublin (1975-1978) and Head of Technical Services at Queen's University Library, Belfast (to 1975).

He is a member of An Chomhairle Leabharlanna and of the Committee on Library Cooperation in Ireland.
He was involved as a national representative in the establishment of the EU Libraries Programme, and was subsequently Co-ordinator of the EUROPAGATE project (1994-1996).
He is Chairman of IRIS, and has also been Chairman of the Working Party on the National Policy for Libraries (1997-99).
